So I am done with finals and home for spring break. Also, it has started raining just in time for spring break, and for Ostara!! How could it be all sunny and beautiful while I have to be spending time inside studying, and then start raining when I'm ready to go outside and enjoy it. Bah. So I was planning to go for a hike and picnic tomorrow, but if it keeps up like this I'll have to figure out something else.
Oh well, here are some pictures I took while it was still sunny:
Gaaah sorry I've been kinda inactive lately, I am ridiculously busy studying for FINALS. I have bio at 8am tomorrow morning, Ochem 8am Saturday morning, and Anthropology on Monday afternoon.
The reason I love this site: It is so amazing to come on here and look around and see so many people who have similar beliefs as I do. Mostly because I have never met anyone, personally, who shares my beliefs. But then again, I may have met another Wiccan who is just as secretive about their beliefs as I am.
So... I've seen it refered to on here as the "broom closet" (cute). And yes, I'm definitely in there. I'm sort of curious about how many people are open about their religion. I love being wiccan, but I am uncomfortable about being public about it because I feel like most people have a lot of misconceptions about it, which is disappointing. Don't get me wrong, religion is a deeply personal thing to me, and I feel like it carries a lot more value when you focus on applying your beliefs to your own life than preaching them to others. However, keeping your beliefs to yourself and keeping them secret are two different things.
And that is my two cents for now. I have to get up early tomorrow and study for finals. Ugh!
So I am fairly new to this site, and somewhat shy about randomly talking to people on here, so I thought I'd just write a blog to introduce myself all at once. My name is Juliet, I'm 20 years old, a 2nd year in college. I am also new to wicca (about 6 months), but have fallen in love with it. I feel so lucky to have found it, as it encompasses so much of my spirituality and so many beliefs that I already had about the world. But as there are many more experienced witches on this site, I would love to have you as a friend on here. :)
Right now I am really excited for Ostara! I am going to go on a picnic and a hike with a few of my friends to celebrate. Hopefully the good weather will hold up through then.
Well I can't really think of anything more to write about.
